ilios ellas: After a few months, whereby, Wallstreet, has recommended GBPCAD, and GBPCHF, for Volatility Factor, has anyone come up with a demo or real myfxbook account and perhaps a ".set" file for each?

There is an official account for GBPCAD. It is published on Volatility Factor EA website: http://www.volatility-factor.com

Frank: Hi. Question about the news filter function. Should i activate this function? And how many minutes? Thank you!

News filter is optional. When the news filter is activated the robot will stop trading during important and medium news and events. This makes the robot to trade less than usual. By default the robot doesn't trade 240 minutes before and after any news. This time is too long. Therefore we recommend setting something between 30 - 60 minutes. As we said it is up to you whether to use the news filter or not.

    Dear Andrea Lanza,

Thank you for sharing your settings for GBPCAD. We have made a quick test and these settings look good at first glance. But before to say anything we would like to make some deep tests with Volatility Factor EA. Perhaps you know most of the forex brokers have a little bit higher spreads on this pair - GBPCAD. We will try to make some optimizations to eliminate the effect of the spread. We will post comment about our results as soon as possible.

Dear Ilios Ellas, We would like to assure you that our forex developers are working very hard to find other currency pairs and other settings which are good for our forex robots. You know that when there is something new related to our forex robots we publish it immediately. Everyone is free to test any custom settings.

    Dear Yuochi Lin,

Yes, you can use GBPCHF in Volatility Factor v7.1. At the moment, we do not have any values that we can tell you exactly. If you want to use GBPCHF with ADVSettings then you have to test it by yourself.

    Dear Alexander,

By default the Advanced Settings are disabled. To use the Advanced Settings you have to turn on ADVSettings. Here are the details about how to use the TargetProfit, TradeCount and LotsMultiplier with EURUSD and GBPUSD pairs:

    GBPUSD
    - TargetProfit=6
    - TradeCount=3

    EURUSD
    - TargetProfit=7
    - TradeCount=4

And LotsMultiplier by default is 1.6. It's up to you what multiplier you will use.

Could you tell us exactly what is the winter GMT offset of your broker ?

I like the fact that you have worked out the "officially recommended pair settings" for GBPCHF: I will install this recommended pair and "only this pair", until you (Wallstreet) come up with additional settings for other pairs. As a lay person, I don't think you should be asking me or others to fiddle around with settings we know little about. Looking forward to you (Wallstreet) providing us with other "Officially recommended", .set files which we can incorporate without us tampering with the myriad of settings which you provide.

Volatility Factor 7.0 only use in EURUSD / GBPUSD two currency.
Is it can use in GBPCHF in Volatility Factor 7.1? If it true. What number of TargetProfit and TradeCount set in GBPCHF?

The forbidden hours in our example for GBPCHF are adapted for brokers which winter GMT offset is +2.

So if my broker is GMT+3, my setting should be like 8,9,10,11,12,13,14?

Do we have to turn ADVSettings ON in order to use new default settings for EURUSD and GBPUSD (TargetProfit and TradeCount)?

What Lot multiplyer should be for them?
